Pretty sure Auburn has the boosters they don’t wanna support that goofy ass coach

I don’t think he’s goofy so much as he thought he could be just a coach at auburn, and some how his personality did a 180, he was a local media darling, his players liked him, and he recruited well at his previous spot, it’s like getting to auburn made him a nut, or think he had to be something else, Auburn two factions being split is the biggest issue

Maybe not wasted opportunity more so probably wish they had another adjustment up their sleeve, Kirby made a change, on defense, that fukked up their offense, if Lincoln could have figured out an adjustment to the adjustment

The biggest issue was they thought they could recruit California but that never crystalized, they did their best work recruiting Texas and the Hawaiian/slightly Cali

I think we had y’all at 4th & 48 at one point that game. Iirc y’all finished with like -28 rushing yards or something ridiculous.

Probably MSU’s best team ever, had there been a playoff that year we’d have had a solid chance of winning (no Bama, no Clemson in the top 4)…shyt, a couple awful 4th Q PI calls @ ND and we would’ve been undefeated that year.

Carl told the L.A. Times that he “resented how every step was geared to force Caleb into a hurried, emotional decision, including coaches who questioned why he would look around at all.” He also shared the same thing that he told Oklahoma coaches during the process.

“I said this to Bob Stoops. I said this to Brent Venables,” Carl said. “I’ll give you the clean version. You go to college to get prepared for your career. If you want to be a doctor, you go to med school at the best college you can go into. You want to be a lawyer, you do the same. What we wanted to do was be prepared to play [in the NFL on] Day One. That was the driving force.”
