Not going to pile on bc this just happened to MSU within the last week and the player is supposedly looking at Arkansas of all places…this shyt happens everywhere, even after they sign players can just up and bounce so :yeshrug:

There’s a lottt of time left even til the early signing period, and Mich should be capitalizing off this past season, however Harbaugh didn’t do them any favors by flirting w/ the nfl only to get turned away and coming back, then losing his coordinators. New coordinators need to rebuild relationships with recruits/commits and that isn’t always easy.

He'd been committed for a while now. He had his official last week. I'm pretty sure they relayed the message of 'there will be no bags being dropped' and he dipped. Good for him. Same with Dante Moore if he chooses Oregon. Same with Jalen Brown if he chooses Miami/LSU.

Imagine your head coach coming out and saying that going to Michigan will be a transformational experience, not a transactional.

All the while making more than 7M per year.

He gotta go. Dudes out of touch with the times. And if alumni and reagents aren't on board with adapting to the way the game is played today, then I hope their attendance suffers big time.

That's where we're at.

Yea I get the sense there’s large part of the Michigan academic community that wouldn’t care or even prefer the school went the UChicago route and just did away with football/athletics.

UM health generates probably 10x what football brings in. shyt I remember reading that UM generates more revenue from urine analysis tests than from football, but that might’ve been hyperbole.

If Harbaugh is ushered out, would a new coach have his wings clipped by the president/regents/institute too?

Or do you think a new coach could demand the school get on board?

As liberal as AA and UM is known to be, you’d think they’d be all over players getting paid. But I guess their stance is the “well coming to play here should be more than enough”

Interesting times no doubt. College football has changed a lot from BCS to playoff to NIL the last 25 years. It’s going to change even more in the next 5-10years.

Haha, this is simply a “we didn’t drop a bag” thing? Y’all are 55th in crooting, second to last in the Big Ten, one borderline 4* commit and the rest 3*s all because Chester won’t drop bags? It really boils down to just that?

Isn’t the bag dropping supposed to be non affiliated with the recruiting process and based on the player and fully separated from
The university?

If so, why couldn’t a group of UM boosters just offer him some car dealership deal or whatever?

Except the insiders already said that's what its about. Our NIL is trash as fukk as of today. Period. Schools are setting the kids up with the boosters, even tho NIL is supposed to be NON affiliated with the school. Michigan isn't.. again.. kicking themselves in the ass.

Think about this without being a dikkbreath for a second.. coming off of a B1G championship year.. great tradition, biggest alumni in the country, great school, biggest stadium, a lot of momentum going into 22-23.. why WOULDN'T we be killing it in recruiting right now?

Nevermind.. you're literally unable to respond without fukkery.

It's supposed to be that way, but it aint. And I'm not against the schools helping the kids find the money. Michigan's too goody goody for that. Watch.. write this shyt down somewhere.. Dante Moore's gonna sign with Oregon, but he'll finish his career in East Lansing. All because of Michigan's incompetence.

Elite 11 going on, why is the generational all time great QB prospect with the golden family last name not showing up to show his worth against the best of the best?

Andre Carter II....had to look the kid up. didnt know about him. pretty sure most folks dont because folks aint out here watching Army football
i know you go to Army for more than just the sports aspect but damn imagine being a 1st round pick and then gotta do your service duty
like others say you'd think they'd give breh an exception if he went high in the draft but i guess going to Army and playing football is 2nd on importance list
