MSU had truly elite defense in that stretc of years. maybe OSU was on cruise control, but being on cruise control in November is what separates title contenders vs non title contenders. if anyone remembers lmk, was this game the week before OSU played Harbaugh/Mich? I remember it being a November noon game w/ shyt weather.

With that said, MSU didn’t have its starting QB and we were on the road…zeke being not 100% is def offset by MSU having to play 2 backup QBs. MSU played some pure tressel ball, and Dantonio was always competitive with Urban’s OSU teams…in 2012 we lost by 17-16, 2016 a 3 win MSU team lost again 17-16 on a failed 2 pt conversion.

Since 2016 it’s not been competitive at all, but 2012-2016 all those games were really close.

It was a confluence of things, bad weather helped, urban for some reason didn’t run, and zeke criticized, osu didn’t load the box, urban was bs’n on offense it seemed what you all were doing, 8 men boxes was what the defense needed because urban had nothing, not taking nothing away, but not snowy/rainy and they running through y’all
