It's a meaningless stat and you know it. If player A gets 150 chances to hit with a runner in scoring position and converts 40 of them and player B gets 30 chances and converts 10, does that make player A better?

It’s never meaningless for a player who has one of the worst contact %’s and highest k rates in mlb which was my whole point
