I think it's inevitable at this point. There's illegal defense in basketball. Eventually, there will be illegal defense in baseball.

Think about that. Some want the shift gone because the defense got that much smarter than the hitter. Ain't that some shyt?


Here's what it's really about. If y'all are gonna sit there for 3.5 - 4 hours, fans would rather see a game end 13-11 with wild fukkery than 4-2 with tons of runners left on base. That's all it's about. People just wanna bail out crappy hitters who can't take advantage of half the field being open to them.

I don't disagree. They should be going the other way but I don't even blame the hitters at this point. They're being coached to pull everything and swing for power by each team's analytics department.

The problem is, it's not gonna be entertaining for the average fan to watch two guys playing catch for half the game.
