And this is why complaining about the playoff format falls on deaf ears. Are the Giants and Dodgers really THAT good or did they just beat up on 2 of the most uncompetitive teams in baseball for nearly a quarter of their schedule? Would they have both won 30+ games against Philly and New York? There are flaws to the system, but they shouldn't be determined by record anomalies caused by shytty divisional competitionArizona and Colorado didn't stand a chance against the Giants and Dodgers.
