Makes it worse actually. They have very few bats in their system and they passed on Mayer/Lawler. You can't win every game 1-0.

I hope it works out but Avila has no track record to believe that is going to happen.

Matt Wheatland, Rick Porcello, Jacob Turner, Brandon Hamilton, Beau Burrows and Matt Manning.

So yeah, not expecting much from this.

You expect Illitch to open the pocket book when a major reason the Tigers took Jobe at 3 was because he agreed to less money than his slot commands? Maybe Jobe will be the next deGrom but the track record on high school pitchers is not good. This kid's getting compared to Dylan Bundy for godsakes.
