Houston's doing this without Verlander and Bregman too. The trash cans are gonna be a minor footnote at this rate. I always thought it was overblown (and they weren't the only team stealing signs in a similar way). I'd like to see Dusty finally get a ring.
Ive already come to terms that we will probably lose him to ESPN or the sort in the future, Im just hoping he can still stay as our play by play while taking on national duties ala like Mike Breen with the Knicks. Hes excellent
He can easily do both White Sox and SNB if that were to happen. The only way he leaves if he is given another big announcer role like in the NBA or NHL in addition to MLB imo.

there's alot of data from different guys from fangraphs, baseball prospectus and others showing the system didn't actually help. Everyone sees the homers when they did get it right. But there is alot of times where you see Beltran and others roll over on pitches.
I remember seeing some one ask Kenny Lofton on it. He said rather have pitch location more than what pitch was coming. Yes it helps on chase rate, but you still don't know where they pitch is going. It is what it is. A guy from Astros twitter collected all the bangs and shows who used he system the most. Altuve was one that didn't use it and he gets the most hate. From what I heard from former players is that they were made to believe it was a league wide issue and they were keeping up with the times. Keuchel even said this when the Whitesox came to town.

JV hints he might return for a playoff run. He would serve better as a bullpen option to be honest. Next year I wouldn't be surprised he went back to Detroit for a 1 year deal and then get traded to a contender.
