Early thoughts on Riley to USC:

- good for them. Riley is the perfect coach on paper for them and proves USC is still considered a top 3 job in the country in the coaching circles as it should be.

- he will upgrade the offense to an elite and sustainable level. Dart is the perfect QB to do it and the receiving weapons are there already.

- the question mark that remains is the trenches. Riley is going to have to hit the portal and the South for big tackles on both sides of the ball. That will be the difference for games against Oregon, Utah and ND. If he answers there, he should roll easily in the P12

- I expect them to bounce back easy in 22 (10 win season) especially with their soft schedule, but if they have Grinch, I’m not sure they will solve all the issues they had under Helton immediately. The following years is when the schedules will really test Riley.
