Based off the early success Texas had with Gilbert as OC back in the 2016 season, I had hoped Texas would hire Babers had Head Coach if Strong got fired.
I didn't know he was OC at Texas. He can't call a game to save his life.
Also, can we talk about the poor QB play in college football this season? There isn't a QB that should be considered a Heisman frontrunner.
Yeah by the end of that 2016 regular season, even though Gilbert runs that unique Art Briles Veer & Shoot offense that puts up tons of yards, we realized that Gilbert isn't the playcaller that Art Briles or Kendall Briles is. Especially when it came to situational play calling.
