The post game analysis of that game was weird and lazy. UF has one of the best defensive line/running back rooms in the country and possibly the best CB. Contrary to the popular stances the kids on the other team were blue chips also. TAMU is going to be a close one also

PS Bryce Young:ehh:is that DUDE. We've seen Joe Burrow and Bo Nix(I know) wilt at the swamp in recent years.

I was only disappointed in the game due to the defense showing some of the same missteps they showed early last season but in no way was I expecting a blowout, but yeah Florida is really talented, I think Mullen pulled out that 2017 Mississippi State playbook that gave Saban fits that year.

With Bryce, I’ll just say, a lot of first year starters would’ve thrown multiple picks down the stretch in that situation, for him to handle the crowd noise and play as calm and poised as he did, couldn’t ask for a better effort from him.

Wtf is Diaz teaching his players at Miami? His former players don’t even know what a cover 3 is :mjtf:
Diaz be having his players just run around and hope for the best

And he was a d coordinator:mjlol:

I get coaches run particular schemes so some techniques they dont teach or run but something as basic as a cover 3 this nikka should know off common sense and Madden, :pachaha:

To be fair, Phillips was a rush end at Miami so back end coverages weren't exactly a priority. He's playing linebacker now so his responsibilities are different.
Yea, I was gonna say the same. He was a hands in the dirt guy. He only needed to know about pass rush, block shedding and stunts

If the A&M game is close then that Bama team really ain’t all that good. That A&M team is not good and on a second string QB that couldn’t beat the other guy that ain’t all that good either. For what its worth I think the Bama team is good and should stomp a mud hole in A&M. Score should be around 50-13

TAMU is the evergreen proof that experience is overrated. They always seem to be experienced at quite a few position groups and it never matters. Dudes barely pulled a “great” season out of the worst SEC in a while

As a former college football player I once had a conversation with a few defensive players about who they would pick as the best in the league at the time. This was between 2000-06 range. One guy said who’s that when Ray Lewis was mentioned. I knew then we wouldn’t win the championship. Sometimes you have people that play football and sometimes you have football players. The guy who didn’t know Ray was the former. Once the whistle blew it was a wrap for football for him. He didn’t even often play NCAA or Madden like 95% of the guys on the team. Knowing the basics of Cov 1,2,3 and 4 is nothing. I do remember his roommate being one of the best on the PlayStation 2 and I know I played the Clueless guy before in the game so I know he had to have seen those coverages on a tv screen. Also we had playbooks on paper with the coverages too. Even the lineman had that.

I said all that to say either he was misquoted, attempting to say something that didn’t come out correctly, or maybe he had a problem with someone at Miami because there is no way I can understand a starting D End/Rush LB not knowing the basics. Unless of course he’s like the Clueless guy I played with who didn’t know Ray and is just someone who plays football. Not a football player.

I’m sure he was taken out of context. I’m certain he knows what a cover 3 coverage is, but as far as the assignments of it as far as LB goes, he doesn’t know and im kinda sure that’s what he meant.
