Totally different dynamic recruiting wise. Miami has money….for education. Even when they were winning, they weren’t pumping $$ into football. Kids want to win and guess who ain’t doing that?

Peak Miami had trash facilities compared to Oklahoma, Nebraska, Texas etc....but the Canes won because they had great players and coaches.

Now? Everyone recruits South Florida talent and most 18-year olds can see that The U doesn't have that innate fan fervor. Everyone loves the Canes when they're 11-1 but what's the fan support when you're 8-4?

Kids just want some cash and cleat chasing pawgs for sloppy top. You can get that anywhere and it's probably easier in a college town vs. a major metro.
