It's also good to see a team from a "non-traditional" market have success in the playoffs. The Stars have had success over the years, but it's great when you can see a team from Dallas have success and hopefully grow the game. I know not everyone enjoys hockey, but I think it has the best playoffs by far.:manny:.
I mean the fact they are players coming from Florida, California, Arizona, and Texas is proof that expansion to those markets worked. Atlanta didn’t work because of bad ownership and I know they will get a 3rd chance eventually.
I have a few developer friends in Houston, apparently the NHL is scouting sites there for an arena. Coyotes seem like a prime candidate to move since their attendance is abysmal and the NHL has been propping them up from some time. I think the Panthers too but they might be in the works for a new arena in Miami.

I think Coyotes are sticking around, from what I’m reading they are looking at a new arena in the Scottsdale area. Ottawa imo is the team to watch out for relocation.

That why I said Ottawa, Ottawa honestly is in a weird spot. They just as many Leafs and Habs fans in that area than Sens fans. I think if push came to shove and Houston was a better option than sticking in Ottawa, BOG would be fine losing Ottawa market over Houston :manny:

I’m aware, but Houston is top 5 populated city in US>>>>>>> Ottawa and NHL cares a lot about the US TV deal and it’s markets. US markets will always be more focused over Canadian market for the simple fact more money can be made there than in Canada despite how much religion it is there.

Even if that goal doesn’t count Vegas still looks like an entirely different squad from Sunday. They’re actually playing with some urgency
