Nah man. I don't see it.

I'll go check out more film on him since I only saw an overview video on him but I see Jerian Grant written all over him. We need to be taking BPA, we should be looking for potential all-stars.
This draft isn't like that ... there's not all these clear all star players makeup players to select from like in most drafts ... the best you can do is find guys that have the skillsets which allow the best path to become quality players in todays NBA

As far as Jerian I don't really see the comparison... Kira is probably the quickest player in this draft with really high level end to end speed I don't recall that for Jerian and he also was never the kind of consistent jumpshooter that Kira projects out to be ..Jerian was more of a Kris Dunn type of lead guard than what Kira is ... In his senior year he only shot 31.6% from 3 on 4 attempts a game vs Kira as a sophomore shooting 36.7 % on 5 attempts... not to mention Kira is 19 and from memory I believe Jerian was like 23 or something coming into the draft ..he was far closer to a finished product ..

Here's their final year side by sides:
Player Comparison | Tankathon

Here's some Kira content to check:

- Overview

- Areas of Strength

- Areas in need of Improvement

-Full Game vs LSU
13/8/2 50% Fg

-Full Game vs Tenn
19/3/4 53% Fg

that has to be the only top 5 big board without the presumed top 3 around. how weak is this draft then?
This is the draft where you’ll know how good your scouting department and developmental team is. A star is gonna have to be made. They’re not gonna show up already being one. A weak class (really bad in terms of shooting.) just gotta accentuate whatever the strengths are to your team.

Arturas and Eversly have been around since May, so I feel comfortable knowing they have had time to prepare. They’ve been buffing up our development & scouting teams.

but of course this is the draft we finally move up and not back, although it didn’t matter last draft unless you got top 2 (Coby has potential to be better than 3-6 selections imo). GarPax’s strategy post Jimmy trade basically relied on getting a top 2 pick in the 18, 19 or 20 drafts. We were always a few wins from the basement. I also can’t forget we missed on Doncic to a coin flip with the Kings. Ironic we finally move up once they are canned but unfort this draft doesn’t have that high end talent.

Aruras already said he’s going pure BPA btw, and I take him at his word there and think he will follow through. We just don’t know how they rank tbh. Deni and Ball smoke is all I’ve heard. Nothing attached to Edwards, which even if you are set on BPA, I can’t think of a worst first fit next to Coby/Zach. You would almost have to trade Zach before the season to maximize his value with two years left on team friendly deal. And then you basically hope Edwards can turn into the guy you moved, or rank him at Donovan level impact/player? Even then still not ideal with Coby but every team is going two scoring guards these days. I would hate if they did all that btw, but of course I’m much higher on Zach than you (:comeon:)

That’s really the only conflict of interest toward BPA that I see. Deni is a need and fit. Ball would offer the playmaking we need, although a three headed backcourt of Ball, Coby, Zach is both ridiculous & exciting to think about as a Bulls fan. Billy has already shown he can win games (and more importantly close games) running out a 3 PG lineup. Who would have thought Denis Schroder would be 6th man of the year quality and close games having to play behind CP and Shai. Of course we don’t have a god level PG like Paul but still, that lead playmaker could be Ball making sure to balance touches to Laui/Wendell and not let Coby/Zach take up 80% of our usage. Wiseman is borderline redundant and likely won’t be available but if they wanted him moving Wendell and keeping Gafford as some insurance is fine. I do wonder if they have a player in mind to target but want to be coy on it.

This rushed off season is stupid the draft should be next week or the following week at most

And the CBA opt-out date is more than likely going to get pushed back again as there’s a debate over when the season should start. The players want to wait until MLK to start the season, but they could make $250 million more back by starting in December.

If I didn’t play in the bubble and since March, then I’m ready to get the season started ASAP.

*The draft is the same tune we've been hearing. No conclusive #1. Can they get something meaningful by trade. Yadda yadda yadda. The most note worthy piece may be both agreeing Wiseman is ducking the Wolves. He has shown little to no interest in the Wolves with KAT being here and GSW a possible fit right behind. Talked Charlotte maybe trading up.
