And another one
Nebraska freshman cornerback
Ronald Delancy III has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, 247Sports has confirmed. Delancy had not played significant time for the Huskers this season, but did get a little bit of action on defense and special teams against Ohio State to start the season, as well as special teams action against Northwestern and Penn State.
A three-star prospect in the 2020 recruiting class for Nebraska, Delancy chose to play for the Huskers over offers from the likes of Louisville, Miami, Missouri and a handful of other schools. In high school, Delancy helped his team win back-to-back state titles as he had over 50 takcles and four interceptions — three of which went for touchdowns — in his senior year. In addition to those statistics, Delancy also recorded one safety and blocked three field goals. Between time spent at two different high schools, Delancy was a part of three different State Championship teams. He won one as a freshman at Carol City High School and then won back-to-back as a junior and senior at Miami Northwestern.
The news of Delancy's transfer comes not long after the Huskers dropped another game on the 2020 season. Nebraska fell to Iowa, 26-20 on Friday and watched its record drop to 1-4 on the season.
