Auburn was 7-1 in Tuscaloosa pre 2012 and won 5 straight in the series before Saban’s first year :mjcry: could’ve buried that program for a century if we had a guy marginally better than Tubbs

Really real talk when do we start having a conversation about the recent run of Ohio State QBs at the pro level and do we tie it all the way back to Urban's QBs at Utah and UF before? :jbhmm:

And exactly why will Fields be any different? :hubie:

Urban get the guys to the league. It ain’t got nothing to do with him after that. If anything it makes what Urban did even more impressive if you saying his QB’s weren’t that good

urban and Jim knew you needed an athlete at qb, who can kind of throw, or can throw pretty good, most of Urbans qbs were throwing to butt naked wrs or hand offs or screens or drags, so when it came time to hit the league they were not good candidates, Alex smith was some how different he couldn’t bomb you but he could make a good pass, and he could run the option/zone read offense

as for fields, he has the tools, i think this year he’s forcing it too much, (like every play has to be a td) he may be overcompensating for the loss in the playoffs, hopefully he stops staring his wrs down and takes what the play/defense gives him ( btw Trevor has tunnel vision too

But if you want to be honest, it’s not too many D1 programs who have put multiple quality qbs out who play at least 10 years

on the bolded is true for this last game only. Coming into that game he had 11tds and only 11 incompletions. Literally was playing on another level. I don’t know what got into his head vs Indiana with his decision making
but he has said he learned from it. You’ll get the Fields from those 1st three games going forward. No worries

Fields wont be any different. Dudes gonna bust and I'm fully expecting my Jets to pull a win out they asses.. get the 2nd pick, and blow it on Fields.
