you must be skipping your important classes, boy you better go to class

But all jokes aside the best ever is all relative, i remember when they were saying that about the Trojans back when Reggie and all them were there, i know we are all caught up in the moment but let’s relax
its definitely subjective, the difference to me is their scheme. I don't think they have the most talent of any offense, hell they might not have the most offensive talent of a SEC team this year, but there's not many defenses that could fukk with the way Brady nem used that talent this season

When you have Kirby Smart saying he’s never seen anything like LSU offense and when you have Venables looking shocked and helpless in the 2nd half that’s all you need to know

i need that quote from smart if you have it

as for venables they were getting stops, the issue was they had no one that could cover chase, and when they got behind The chains, they could literally throw the ball to him, there is no defense for a greatly thrown ball and a wr that is just better than the corner he’s going against. I know you are on your grandstanding campaign, but you gotta relax with these absolutes

Kirby Smart: LSU presents ‘greatest challenge’ of his Georgia head coaching tenure

ATHENS — Kirby Smart says facing LSU is the “greatest challenge” the Georgia football program has undertaken since he became head coach four years ago.

The No. 4-ranked Bulldogs are a touchdown underdog to the No. 2-ranked Tigers in the SEC Championship Game at 4 p.m. on Saturday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

“It’s as explosive of a team as I’ve ever seen on tape,” Smart said. “This will be as great a challenge as we’ve had since I’ve been here, as far as playing an opponent.

“They have an outstanding all-around team. It’s a tremendous opportunity to measure where you are when you get an opportunity to play a team like this that’s firing on all cylinders.”

LSU is coming off a dominant 50-7 win over Texas A&M — a team Georgia beat just 19-13 a week earlier.

The Bulldogs lead the SEC in total defense, scoring defense, rushing defense and pass efficiency defense, but Smart expects to be challenged.

“We don’t have the natural star power on our defense,” Smart said. “A lot of the defenses I’ve coached had three or four first-rounders.

“This group plays hard and plays together

Smart said LSU has star power at quarterback, running back and receiver, along with five returning offensive linemen with starting experience.

“This obviously will be the ultimate test,” Smart said. “(LSU has) the best offensive unit we’ve played, all the way around, and it’s really not even close.”

Smart joked he may have relished the challenge of preparing his team for such a strong opponent “until about yesterday (Sunday) afternoon when I started watching the tape, you realize there really aren’t weaknesses

nikka he said all that before the game, of course he’s going to paint the picture of juggernaut and give them respect, show me where he said what you said after the game.
They weren’t unstoppable, again it was stops being made in the game, but when the chips were down he’d toss it up to chase, that’s not unstoppable it’s just taking advantage of a good corner having a bad game/being out matched, i know you are going to come back and say some off the wall reply back that’s baseless but honestly save it, you all won, and defeated every opponent in front of them, kudos

:russ: Here it goes

“I give them a lot of credit,” Smart said. “We had three man, four man, five man rush, played seven DBs. We had a lot of different looks.”

It didn’t matter, LSU quarterback Joe Burrow was phenomenal, 28-of-38 passing for 349 yards and four touchdowns.

Burrow was elusive in the pocket, keeping his eyes downfield despite onrushing defenders on several occasions, side-stepping and shuffling to open field. Burrow also tucked the ball, carrying 9 times for 53 yards, numbers offset in the final box by 2 sacks for a loss of 12 yards.

“I’ve been in this league for a long time, and I don’t know that I’ve seen the combination of things they’ve got,” Smart said. “They’ve got an elite quarterback that’s a really good athlete. They have a back that is a matchup guy. He can match up on anybody and go in. They’ve got really good wideouts, and they’ve got an experienced offensive line.”

Smart pointed out LSU’s synchronization was aided by maintaining the health of the receivers, whereas Georgia sustained a big hit to the receiving corps with four of its top receivers out by the end of the first half with injuries or via George Pickens’ suspension.

“It is scheme oriented, but it’s a lot more than scheme,” Smart said. “They have plays that they’ve run all year, that we’ve run all year. Our plays haven’t looked like their plays because a lot of times we might not have the same guys doing those plays.”

And here’s Saban saying they had no weakness after the Bama game

I think it’s the system. I think it’s the things that they are doing, it really features the players,” Saban said after the game. “I think he has, talking about the quarterback now, Joe, has a really good handle on what they are trying to do. And it’s challenging to defend.

“It utilizes the people that they have. Look, they have no weaknesses on offense. They have a really good runner. They have a really good quarterback. They have really good receivers. They have a good offensive line and they have a system and a scheme that’s very sound and solid in terms of doing a really good job of executing it.

“I can’t give them enough credit for what they do. It’s nothing like what they tried to do a year ago. It’s completely different and I think it features their players and their players buy into it and have confidence and do a great job executing it. I felt like that going into the game and I certainly feel just as strongly like that after having played them.”

You have Defensive gurus given them the ultimate praise but keep pushing ur narrative

:what: Is it because it’s Monday everyone is jumping out the window on these takes, what the hell is wrong with you all today
Right them hot takes out of control right now. Everybody knows that 2002 OSU team is goat. Beat one of the greatest teams in college football history in the title game. It’s more impressive to have a Brain surgeon playing quarterback than a Heisman winner :whoo:

@O.iatlhawksfan what narrative, I’m saying let’s relax on the absolutes, at no point do i or did i detract from LSU, it don’t matter if every defensive player and coach gives you props, it doesn’t equate unstoppable, a lot of this is great play/play calling and circumstance, and that’s no dig on LSU at all, you just like to exaggerate and never admit to being wrong

What am I wrong about about? You the one saying they weren’t unstoppable when the numbers back it up and the opposing coaches are saying they had no answer for them

LSU’s offense was a great offense on steroids, I can’t explain it. Like when I watched them, it didn’t necessarily wow me (except for Burrow’s Romo impressions) it’s just that they did everything so efficiently. You would look at the stats in the 3rd quarter and Joe was 22/24 for 240 and you’re like :dwillhuh:.
