Back in 2011 most teams were still running traditional offenses but by 2016 everyone was running a hurry up RPO offense. The 2016 was more talented

A total of 14 teams nationally currently average more than 500 yards. Only six did so in 2011. SEC West teams average 449.1 yards a game this fall, while not one SEC team approached that number five years ago.
