ND already has a good defense. If Freeman continues what the last DC was doing he'll be a head coach at a P5 school in a year or two.

With these coaches it's all about money. LSU just got outbid.
:childplease:

Dude we just gave Pelini 2.3 mill a year just cause. Nobody's over paying coaches like us. We even made the Aggies lean back.

Some more Freeman tidbits from ND sites:

"Freeman’s deal, per sources briefed on negotiations, was expected to exceed that of the just-departed Lea, who had a multiyear deal that averaged $1.6 million per year"
Freeman, per a source in Cincinnati with direct knowledge, had told his Bearcats’ linebackers Friday afternoon that he was departing and had chosen to accept LSU’s offer. Notre Dame sources had told FootballScoop earlier on Friday that the Irish appeared out of the mix to land Freeman, the Broyles Award semifinalist in 2020 after a third-straight season of stellar work atop the Bearcats’ defensive unit. But Friday afternoon, Notre Dame leaders huddled and made another effort with Freeman, included an improved salary offer over the term of the deal, per sources with knowledge of the developments.

Maybe my brotha was all about dem dollars Indeed :jawalrus:

PRAYING this works out man. Ton of names I like, but definitely an unproven element
We should be okay, we win with every coach we bring in. It’s just about consistency. Harsin definitely went with the guys who can recruit at a pretty high level

Boise State knows how to hire coaches. They should be hired as a coaching firm for side money :ehh:

Yup and harsin and avalos both played for boise so harder to leave as an alum unless its a big gig.
Avalos went to boise played all 4 years, and then like the past 7 years was a defensive coach at boise working up to DC then he got a juicy job at oregon and is now back
