I like the way Rosario is developing, 70+ hits on the road is impressive. Also, his defense has improved lately.
McNeil looks like the future for us, he can straight up hit and hit for power at times.
I don't know what's gonna happen with Cano, but if the Mets tried to move him in the off season I wouldn't be surprised.
I feel like Cano came to the wrong league, playing the field at his age is clearly catching up to him. I know his contract is next to impossible to move.

There is a quality core here, but clearly the issues have been the bullpen. In the off season the front office is gonna have to pull off some moneyball moves.
Sit in a room for 2-3 months and find valuable relievers. Low WHIPs, relievers who don't allow inherited runners to score, low walks, etc.
This team would be in it with a better pen.

edit: Even my boy Lagares got a hit today

The only way we move on from Cano is if we find an AL team with an outfielder on a bad contract (CF preferred) and similar in years.. and we swap. He needs to go back to the AL.. I think it’s pretty obvious.

We need to invest in some hgh training or some shyt it is not a coincidence that when cano starts hitting we go on a run.....since 98 hispanic players have always been the most important part of the team (alfonso, beltran, reyes, cesepedes) while the white superstar gets credit (piazza, david wright now alonzo) ...mets gotta figure out to keep their spanish superstar players healthy

Usually fringe teams begin to flounder in August. Still early and the schedule gets complicated after the Marlins but it would say a lot about this team if they win series on a consistent basis from here on out.
Mets have the 2nd easiest schedule in baseball to round out the season.

It's doable :yeshrug: I ain't having hope.

but it's doable.
