There are only a few things wrong wit the defense. 1.) One them nikkas done forgot how to tackle 2.) we trying to run all these fancy analytical schemes when our players do better just manning up (Aranda tripping with all these different concepts with SEC athletes) 3.) There are no consequences for sloppy play... I.e. Katy Vincent missing tackles left and right but he’ll never get benched. 4.) Still haven’t gotten used to this pace and getting gassed.

I was mad about the defense on Saturday, but I fell back. We aren’t ready for Bama, but I still remember Les Miles last days. Anything but that bullshyt. We look like a modern team not... just need to clean it up on d and stop trying to out think everybody.

Aranda trying new things cuz he was told there’s too much tape on him now

I think next off season we should switch to a college version of an NFL defense and call it a day. Just man up or cover 2 and ball out. I like Daryl Johnson as a recruiter but we need to start coaching up d linemen. Now that I thought about it... the d line not being able to get a rush going without us blitzing has thrown the whole defensive game plan out of whack.

Tbh Idk if Aranda will be here next year, this isn’t an ideal situation for a DC and almost our whole starting D might be gon next year. He is getting paid a lot tho so we’ll see.

As far as the pass rush, we’re not playing our starters and I think O is taking the right approach here. Remember when we had talked about needing to build depth with this type of offense, I think that’s what O is doing here. Lawrence, Logan, Chassion, and Divinity, We’ll call y’all when we need y’all. Right now the other players have to get the reps, Fehoko and Shelvin are playing good. We might need them next week against Utah State tho cuz Jordan Love is a pretty good QB.
