Guess they cutting back on thurs games and making friday games more of a thing

I don't like it. Let the High School kids have Friday nights.

I think they start next week, they wait now until week 3 or 4 to start Thursday games. Not that you’ll miss anything though, mostly American games, they cram the big games into Saturday now. I do miss how TNF used to be though, the Big East was must watch in the mid 2000s.

9/26: Navy @ Memphis
10/03: Temple @ ECU
10/10: Syracuse @ NC State
10/17: UCLA @ Stanford
10/24: SMU @ Houston

Some of those games seem watchable
But Thursday night used to be hugevback in the day. I miss when it had some of those great matchups

In an effort to keep students in the stadium throughout football games, the University of Alabama has begun tracking students on their phones during games, according to Billy Witz of the New York Times.

Students receive "Tide Loyalty Points" on the FanMaker app, including a reported 100 points for attending a game and an additional 250 for staying until the fourth quarter. Fans with a high number of points can receive improved access to postseason tickets like the SEC Championship and bowl games.

The app tracks the students only while they are in Bryant-Denny Stadium to determine who deserves points.

It makes sense so they don't have to compete with the NFL and it benefits the team not having to play on those short weeks
