As much as I despise Bama I'm not ready to write them off.

They had some unfortunate injuries this year which they avoided in the past.

They didnt do themselves any favors though scheduling a bunch of cupcakes for their non-conference games.

As long as they keep bringing in those top 5 recruiting classes they'll be in the mix.

As far as Saban, he's the best college football ever (my opinion). When he leaves there is a chance they go back to being what be they were from from '93 until about '09.

These fanbases have unrealistic expectations of these coaches. I remember what happened to Fulmer in Tennessee and that program hasn't been the same since.

The game changes and coaches have to evolve or get left behind.

Plus, the once, mid-level teams are better now, and keeping recruits that other teams used to get.

FSU, Miami, Southern Cal, Tenn are getting a dose of reality.

The , late 80s,90s, and 00s are long gone.

With all those top recruiting classes, even Saban isn't guaranteed championships.

Bama's talent level hasn't changed, but the game has changed.

Bama was fortunate in that there were other sleeping giants in the SEC who weren't maximizing their full potential during his reign ( LSU and UGA).

Now , it's a different story. Add Clemson to the mix and you got teams that don't fear Bama and have equal talent levels. And Auburn can be a thorn in Bama's side every now and then too.

Then it becomes a coaching issue at that point. Saban has had tons of assistants come and go. All the coaching changes to his staff haven't helped in recent years. I think Clemson has maintained most of their assistants for years.

I agree with this especially the bolded.

It's a few teams that have similar talent levels to Bama.

God damn, I haven't seen FSU this bad in a looooooong time. This squad is absolutely lost on the field on both sides of the ball.

@Lucky_Lefty - get your team's shyt together :picard:

I don’t root for FSU anymore breh. I’m just a fan of the game. The only logo you’ll see me supporting is this
