If you think Louisiana isn't just as racist as Alabama then I got a bridge to sell you.

Racism is every where. I think people attack Bama more because seems like the black people there are ok with it.

Them cats in New Orleans at least from what I've seen don't take shyt from those cacs.

Yep but realistically all these schools will probably give their coach at least another year, except maybe Arkansas.....It's terrible in Arkansas. I guess you could add Mississippi State too, but they got spoiled by Mullen and think they are better than they are.

Breh, Bob aint got it in his heart no more. It's like Switzer said long ago, "you gotta feed the monster" The monster being OU football, the fans, etc. And he slacked up on feeding the monster for a while. He kept his brother on staff too long, he hired a bunch of ppl just bc they played at Iowa, and kept his friends on staff. He didnt treat it as a business. And yeah we would win 10-11 games per year, but our recruiting was waaayyy down at that point. Some ppl say he pretty much cashed it in after we lost to Florida in 08. Because our team that yr was possibly his best team ever.

That Alabama win several years ago reset our program recruiting-wise, we got some great recruits from that and and the next year he fired Heupel.....brought in Riley. Once we made that playoff in 2015 season, Bob saw that Riley was probably a good choice to replace him.
The Joe Mixon stuff coming to light 2 years after the fact really showed him how much things had changed. It made his name kinda look bad. That situation basically confirmed his decision.

In short, I think he wanted out for a min but didnt want to leave the program in bad hands. Once we lucked up getting Baker and some other good recruits he saw a good time to dip and ride off into the sunset looking as good as possible.

I'd be 100% shocked if he took that FSU job. But you never know....

It's like it's own place.

Idk if you can answer this as well but do you think whatever was in that sealed envelope during the Mixon stuff expedited him leaving
