When did Gus pass on Lamar? I thought he had interest in Auburn but he ended up sticking with Petrino because he showed interest first?

He posted on Twitter that Auburn was the offer he was waiting for back in 2014 when he got it. We had the juice at that point. Nick Marshall was doing his thing.If we had pushed for him, like we should have I believe he would have been at Auburn... We took some dude that didn't play a down.

It's an abomination how Lamar got out of FL. shyt his mom even got involved. Basically telling teams that don't even call if he can't play QB. Seems like Louisville is the only school that would let him play QB. The others wanted him at a different position.

OK, I understand that. He still was looking for the offer. It was high on his list. The point is Gus can't evaluate talent and use it effectively obviously. The defensive side is straight because of good coaching. Damien Craig tried to get Gus to change a little but he did not want to take advice....
