Do you understand WHY he gets more comprehensive coverage around this time?


It’s because the average NBA fan has no idea who the fukk he is. They’re not forcing him on you. They’re letting you know who he is since by now you should have a decent idea of who everyone else is.

Do they have to do it with the hyperbole though? They got ESPN analyst doing a side by side of his and Harden step back jumper. Like he's the next Harden. They got these Euro announcers exaggerating the basic moves he does, like athleticism is a strength of his. I know it's a video game, but NBA2K even had some simulation about how Doncic is the MJ of the Euro-league.

Not only that, these European fans are so blinded with excitement that they go so hard to defend him. Yes, he's 19, yes he's the MVP of the Euro league. Great. Let Manu Dragic get to the league first and try these moves and stop trying to compare him to the beast that is Lebron. It's insulting. It all smells of an agenda that's annoying.

I want no parts of Michael Porter Jr. No thanks. Don't cae how badly we need a wing. That back injury scares me. Also didn't get to see him play much and he skipped the combine from what I read.

reread what was wrong with his back
then looked at his return to the court, which i don't think they would have done if it was a big issue.

I'm wary of bad issues, but he messed it up by getting undercut, it wasn't some issue with his back, now due to the fact that he overcompensated for 2 years while playing ball is concerning. But if he's able to pass a physical and have his missouri records open then I think you have to take a flyer on him.

On the other hand, him shrouding his injury in more mystery is a red flag. Kinda torn on that, especialy since he hid his back injury until he got to college and immediately went for a surgery (so used the school for a free surgery).

I think those comparisons are ridiculous but a lot of players get compared to guys who are long shots because it drums up anticipation. Every combo guard gets compared to Wade. Every tall low post big gets David Robinson comparisons. When’s the last time you saw a draft pick come out and an analyst said “he ain’t shyt?” The closest you’ll get is that someone came out too early. Only a select few analysts will be honest about players.

Doncic didn't have the greatest game today, not bad by any means but got sloppy with his handle and protecting the ball near the end

But when 17 pts 4 ast and 3 rebs while leading your team to a euroleague championship at 19 isn't an amazing game for You, you're doing pretty good

Appreciate the link @Box Factory but I prefer game film over highlights. Not gonna get to see anything he did wrong in highlights. I've heard plenty of what he's good at. I wanna see what needs work. I'd also like to try a scouting report but that requires game film.
