Why isn't Udoka Azubuike a more highly touted prospect?

I mean physically he seems like a potential 1st overall guy, and his stats are pretty good too.

His highlights are very impressive too, but i haven't watched him enough to really have a grasp on him or pick up on his weaknesses.

Yikes...is there anyway this kid ISN'T food on the defensive end against NBA guards?

No way Perry and Coach Fiz choose this kid even if he drops to 9.

Trae Young is the exact opposite of the type of player Perry/Mills/Fizdale have described as wanting to make up the roster. Undersized, weak defender, average athletically.

If Knicks go with a guard at 9 it would most likely be Sexton or SGA

Slow feet. He looked gassed vs Villanova and gave up towards the end. Total liability if you can pull him out the paint defensively. Not really a remarkable rim protection.

Could find a home sonewhere though. He’s got good touch and solid bounce for somebody his size.

Makes sense. Looks like he has nothing outside of playing at the rim either and can't hit free throws.

I saw someone say he's from the wrong era.

He looks like Eddy Curry with a ridiculous wingspan and a better vert to me.

That's probably a really dumb comparison, but you get the idea

DiVicenzo and Grayson's athleticism :wow:

These white boys coming up are different it's no surprise why a guy like Steve Kerr said he wouldn't be able to play in the league today. Grayson was always a deceptive athlete but his vertical and lane agility are elite. :ehh:

Bamba's 7'10 wingspan :damn:

If he continues his jumper he could be a taller, longer version Serge Ibaka, he could have the athleticism, shot blocking, P&R game of young OKC Ibaka and perimeter skills of the older Toronto Ibaka.

Hami's vertical came in nearly 4 inches lower than last year, still at 40.5 inches though.

It's clear Trae Young will be a defensive liability, but his shooting and playmaking could be too much for teams to pass on, he's just going to have to be a guy you hide on defense.

Still not impressed with Collin Sexton. :francis:
