Skills:
Jacob Evans looks primed to be a very solid 3-and-D player in the NBA. As the NBA is currently constructed, those guys will hang around the league for awhile. Any franchise can take Evans feeling good about it being a long-term investment.
His biggest strength has to be his level of play on the defensive end. Teams at the end of the first round, or start of the second in this years NBA Draft will get a great value pick. Evans does all the little things right, while also making an impact defensively. He can defend shooting guards, he can defend small forwards, and in 2018 he might be able to defend smaller power forwards when teams go small.
Offensively, he does not demand the ball, and has great potential as a catch and shoot guy. In today’s NBA, there are a ton of ball dominate players that need complementary pieces around them. Jacob Evans is just that. Evans has some of the highest Basketball IQ in the draft.
NBA Draft: Jacob Evans is potentially the best value pick of 2018 class
