There was a post either stand alone thread or in the random college thread, where they broke down in state Louisiana talent, how much stayed in state, how much left, and which positions were robust, and why the qb situation was dire, and it comes down to there are not many good qbs in Louisiana, and the semi decent don’t stay in state, also scheme had something to do with it, and every good LSU qb came from out of state

Our qb situation has been brutal.

Maaan as bad as it's been, we won with a converted rb in Sims, jake Coker who couldn't beat out Sims , a true freshman/sophomore who's an iffy passer. And LSU has just as much talent as Bama does. No excuse for those LSU seasons

Mettenberger was decent but
their last good one was and he's from Alabama

A lot of it has to do with poor developing but another thing is just not identifying talent. Players like Anthony Jennings and Brandon Harris I think they would have struggled anywhere. QB in high school are hard to project that's why they have a high bust rate.
