"Sliding out victories they should have lost"?So again, sliding out some victories they should have lost, and taking L’s from others..... the offense looks trash two years in a row, from this offensive genius, who has his qb just throwing the ball up to two tall ass WRs why you got a hard on for Herman like he’s really doing that great, i feel like this season is a fluke
I’m not excusing strong, he has to improve USF, but what Herman got at Texas and what strong got at Texas was two different Texas, he had to change the culture, get rid of dead weight, and change the narrative of Texas kids wanting to go to UT, that defense he built had talent the offense just couldn’t come together, I’m also not excusing his stint at Texas but to make it seem like night and day when they had two different Texas, and though they got some wins, i don’t think they dominated much the past two seasons with Herman at the wheel

Texas under Herman is much more competitive than they ever were under Strong. They've only lost ONCE in his two seasons by two touchdowns.
You sound like those dumbasses who used the comparison of Hoke & Harbaugh's 24-7 records at Michigan to get their point across when you clearly know the program is much better under Harbaugh.
But i'm pretty sure the UT fans can tell you better than I can

Texas under Herman is much more competitive than they ever were under Strong. They've only lost ONCE in his two seasons by two touchdowns.

scUM ain’t better off with Harbaugh than Hoke. Matter if fact they worst because they paying that man 8 million a year. Pay a coach that much money and never sniff a conference championship, or even play in the game. Pay a coach that much money and have a losing record against ranked opponents.

So they haven’t lost by two touchdowns, you mean thanks to the defense strong built that i gave all the credit to, Ive watched their games
So putting up 19 vs that vaunted KSU defense was a marked improvement
So putting up 24 against that vaunted cyclone defense is improving including no scoring in the 4th quarter
They put up 23 on Baylor, and that was a field goal in the first quarter and 20 points in the 2nd and Nathaniel the rest of the game
He put up 24 on Kansas, and until the 3rd quarter he had 7 points to Kansas, then put up 14 where honestly i think it was the talent that got you those 14 not some great play
Meanwhile you saw marked improvement as strong got more talent, he took some L’s but they were high scoring games, and he barley lost,
ND he won 50-47
Ok St 43-50 (L)
Ok 45-40 (L)
Got 4 wins
Then lost his last 3 with 2 of them being close
his worst loss in 2016 was to tcu, where i think the team was just exhausted from the controversy, surrounding him and whether or not he was going to be their coach because TCU was pure trash that year.
I’m not going to act like strong got a bum deal because some of those losses were unacceptable, but we pretty much knew he was on thin ice with hot skates from day one, and he had to change the culture of a decaying program
But it seems that Herman is getting the ball to bounce his way, and a Strong built defense is covering his lack of offense

And Devin should have been competing for the Heisman, dude had talent Hoke could not develop a qb to save his life
The unfortunate part is he’s going up against a machine, Urban Meyer is that dude, all hate aside he’s one of the few coaches who can say they beat Saban on the big stage period, and he’s one of 3 coaches who’s won a chip in the last 5 or so years. Add to the fact you all once had 3 stand out qbs on your roster, and currently have a Heisman finalist on your roster, you alls run of head coaches and qbs has been unprecedented and that has helped.
Now that Michigan has some qbs hopefully we can start competing better, we need an O coordinator, we should have hopped on Kliff or someone else, because we have to modernize our approach, but i can attest this year was way better, except damn don Brown, apparently never heard of film study or altering your game plan to your opponent
