Welcome Daxton Hill and Jeffrey Carter
I assume you got this quote from the same article, but his mom was livid as hell interviewing with al.com. They (his dad and her) wanted him RS'd the whole season and communicated that, even told the coaches BEFORE the MSU game that if he played, they would've burned the RS, and they still ran him out there. Even refused to acknowledge they did so (think she was on the phone with Chip Lindsey at this point) after they brought it up. Because of shyt like this, its hard to side with anyone at Auburn: you got the woefully incompetent coaching staff led by a buffoon who's dropped the bag with the QB, RB and OL, the three biggest positions on his team or the Board of Trustees which have fukked the program over for about 20+ years now, but couldnt just cut the losses on a mistake they made (thankfully the President and boosters are taking the lion's share of fire so the breh AD can still retain his sterling resume)Asa Martin?
Martin also appeared in a mid-November game against Liberty. By that point, the redshirt was already burned.
Auburn coaches were apparently under the impression that before the Mississippi State game, Martin had only played in three games, not four.
“After the Mississippi State game is when another assistant coach said that he wanted to redshirt Asa,” Harris said via the newspaper. “At this point, he had played five games.”
”… I’m just blown away, because Asa and I and his dad already knew that Asa’s redshirt had already been burned in the Mississippi State game.”

That’s not true.... agents are telling them to sit out (watching that commission) They are going to be like you stand to lose more money than they giving you. Unless you thinking they are gonna give more than a few hundred dollars a month. If College Players were getting paid, players wouldn’t sit out Bowl Games.

I should have said that it’s not necessarily true because their a lot more forces at play than just kids not being loyal to their brothers... like people say. Most of them probably didn’t even think about not playing until it was run by them. Plus once you are officially signed with an agent, you can’t play no way. I always feel like the main people get upset about them sitting out would absolutely not play if they was in that position, but they ain’t in that position so they are heated.I see what you mean. I’m just saying that people are giving hell to guys like Grier and Greedy but the game is different now, players are smarter and look at it as a business nowadays. Of course they love the game and the University they play for but when it comes down to their future they know they have a decision they gotta make.
