I didn’t know this at the time but there’s a small detail someone worked out from the supposed offered contract that if Gus ever wanted to leave amicably, he wouldn’t owe us anything (in the prior contract he’d owe us 7m)

Seems the language is giving both sides an easy out if next season were to be another failure
