They already have people who have stuck up for Gus in public talking about a change needs to happen. When you're on the verge of losing millions and butts in the seats anything is on the table. Tennessee tickets were going for under $40 this week. That's a home game. They are about to get cheaper.

I definitely think the bottom is gonna come out if Gus returns next year, but you have a set budget you operate in in terms of losses, and the only thing I can think that would pique gains after such a huge flop would be a HOME RUN hire. You’d need someone who could basically replicate 2013 but over several years, or otherwise hike up ticket prices to make up for the guys that won’t be there.

Here’s the only two scenarios I see them firing boul:
1. They don’t win another D1 game and get embarrassed by UGA (who doesn’t look good enough to embarrass us) and UA (will be the biggest blowout since 2012)

2. Pretty much the same thing happens but they somehow make a bowl game (maybe they beat Ole Piss). BUT, a tier 1-2 head coach who isn’t already at a major program that could be usurped without giving em a Jimbo Fisher bag. As you read this, you may recognize this is a paradox, because it is.

They ain’t firing Gus THIS year for a Neal Brown, the old nikka from UAB, maybe they get enamored by a Josh Heupel though

Pretty much all of these first year coaches are tanking. It's a process.
