It kills me that the second leg for this particular group is taking place in San Diego. The park isn't packed, its late as shyt where the majority of the fanbases for 3 out of the 4 teams reside, and why would you kill a good thing with what you already know happens in Miami (i.e. 2013)???

I know a lot of it is determined in advance, but there's gotta be a better way.

Tokyo had a first round and the second round. Why not Miami?? Is it greed to try n spread it in the US? Nobody out in CA cares unless it's the Mexicans. Feels like most of the fans are people who flew in n shyt.

the WBC was banking on either the Japanese, Mexicans or Koreans showing out.

They should really use Minute Maid Park as an option for future WBC's with the Final in Miami.

yea, I was thinking of a decent neutral zone and thought Texas was good enough for most parties. Get this shyt out of California unless there's some "break glass in case of emergency" situation with an Asian team vs. Mexico in the Final...goddamn.

That's the Cuban government, not the WBC. They try to limit the time the Cuban National Team spends in the US to cut down on the risk of possible defections. That's why they're the only Caribbean team that played in Asia.
