According to this article, Sergio Romo (SF Giants) and Adrian Gonzalez (Dodgers) are coming back to play for Mexico next year.

Yasiel Puig wants to play for Mexico too (he holds a MX passport since he defected there from Cuba). Cuban defectors are not allowed to play for the Cuban national team.

The Dominican Republic’s starting rotation for the upcoming 2017 World Baseball Classic got a huge upgrade on Wednesday when right-handers Johnny Cueto, Edinson Volquez, Carlos Martinez and Alex Reyes all announced that they would be participating in the event.

The Dominican pitching staff already features New York Yankees’ reliever Dellin Betances and Tampa Bay Rays’ closer Alex Colome, making the quartet of right-handers from Wednesday the lone confirmed starters for the event.
