Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
I don't have a problem with Cleveland addressing defense and every other part of the team besides QB.
I'm just saying...if they do this...Hue Jackson better have one hell of a guarantee from ownership that he will be given a long leash.

The situation in Cleveland can't be fixed in 3 years...which is how long most coaches seem to get before getting fired.

Don't think they will have much of an issue improving on 1-15.

Look at this schedule

Hue Jackson just went 1-15 for a franchise that has been awful for a long time.
I feel that Hue should have at least 4 years to rebuild, but we all know how this league works.

If Hue wins 4 or 5 games next season, then drafts a QB going into his 3rd coaching year...are the Browns and their fans going to be okay with another 2 years of rebuilding? Is Hue going to survive that?
I'm not so sure.

Yeah that's the thing. Coaches have such a short leash nowadays and a lack of job security that it's almost impossible to rebuild for a few years

I'm no Chip Kelly fan but I don't know how you fire a coach after one year but that's today's NFL

Watson and Kizer are not franchise changers at the moment. They have too much to learn to come in and ball out. Drafting them to come in and save he franchise right away is a set up for failure.

Yep. And if you go high your more then likely not going to a ready made team your going to a bad team looking at you as the savior which neither are.

Look at Dak walked into the perfect situation. If he went high to some bad team where he had to be the focal point and throw 30 times a game people would probably be calling him a bust because he's not built for that

I really wonder just how successful Jonathan Allen will be in the NFL. :patrice:

He's on the bigger side for a traditional DE, and I don't think he can play inside DT at the next level.
Really the only guy at DE that plays around 290 is JJ Watt.

Don't get me wrong: he's impressive. :whoa:
But he seems more like a hold-the-line DE in a 3-4 set that allows the LBs to do all the work....

Now you guys can tell me why I'm crazy. :skip:

In a 4-3 he won't play DE,he'll be the 3 tech

Ideally hes a 3-4 DE 5 tech

I think he'll be great

He won't be a sack artist but he'll be an elite run stopper and extremely disruptive in the passing game

He's one of those guys who you have to double team every play which will allow your pass rushers to shine

In the Mock draft McShay wrote on December 13th (insider) he has Dalvin Cook getting drafted at #20 to Green Bay (GB reached the playoffs so they'll draft later)

:skip:
McShay is a moron but i hope Cook does somehow make it 16

It would be the 1st time since we drafted Ed Reed that we ended up with the player I wanted in round 1

:mjlol: I said that?

Adams shut down every TE he faced this year. Engram, Oj Howard, Sprinkle, and the hitukini kid. People rave about his tackling ability but his cover skill is elite. His instincts are right up there with the honey badger

Man Bama has a trash qb (yea he's trash at the moment as a passer). I like Adams but top 5 is too high for him because of turnovers.

The Adams thing id have to watch tape

Can't go by just stats. Is his int's low because of poor ball skills or did teams try to avoid him?

Tabor and Humphrey are both overrated

I wouldn't take either 6th overall

Thats way too high
It's not an ideal spot, but I'm a fan of both CBs so I'd accept it :manny:

If we could trade down and get one of them, that would be great :manny:

As of now, I'd take Barnett at 6 if pressed :ohwelp:

I would love if the Bears could add Allen or Garrett to their already promising front 7

Allen/Goldman/Hicks
McPhee,Young/Freeman/Trevathan/Floyd

that could be deadly
