@Brozay

we need Hooker! :banderas:
I want him too. He's legit everything this defense needs. As it stands, prefer him to Adams. I would take him over Allen too. Unless Garrett is available(he wont, right?), OR they fall in love with a QB(understandable considrring our situation there), then I want Hooker right now.

It feels like an overdraft a bit, but he looks electric and we just tied NFL record for lowest amount of TOs this year :snoop:

Pauline hears second-round Watson buzz

Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline passes along that "after surveying league people during the first day of Shrine [Game] practice, the overwhelming belief is [Clemson QB Deshaun] Watson will receive second-round grades in war rooms."

"He’ll grade well in the areas of character and leadership," Pauline writes, "but his accuracy down the field and out to the flanks has been a constant worry. Teams here also question whether or not Watson can play from the pocket." The analyst doesn't think the first round is out of the question for the 6-foot-2, 205-pounder, but believes that would likely only come if a team in need of a quarterback were to trade up from the second round to grab Watson in the final 10 picks of Round 1 (much like the Vikings did with Teddy Bridgewater).

Lamb of God
now everyone likes Watson again, thats good i never wavered on him. hes got what it takes to win in the league, no way he goes past 2. yea the DL are valued but you know how the NFL is its gonna be Kizer/Watson in some form, with Trubisky going 5-10 and Kaaya late 1st

Mike Williams already was ready to get a check, he def aint going past 5 he could go higher

Artavis Scott should return, hes not going to go high. he'll be Clemson's WR2 next year cuz Deon Cain is gonna be a 1200 yd player but will get some of Leggett's targets

Leggett is right there with Howard/Njoku for top TE, they have the body of work Njoku is gonna have the measurables. best trio of prospects there in a min. all possible 1st rounders

Humphrey should return, he didnt play great late in the year. Scarborough smart to return not as many impact backs next year as this one
I still have Watson as a late 1st and the best QB prospect in this class even though one or two of my 2nd round grades could go ahead of him at QB.

Watson's the best QB in the draft. Scouts stay saying some of the most :mjpls: stuff possible for black QB's. What has Trubisky even accomplished?

Qbs are drafted on their potential because of their physical abilities and wheter or not they translate to the pros

Stats and accomplishments in college don't always translate to the pros

I'm not a fan of either qb but stats and winning titles in college doesn't always mean the qb translates well to the pros

And what exactly has "drafting on potential" because the QB is tall and has a big arm got teams?
There's no reason Russell Wilson should've been drafted in the 3rd round (should've been drafted way earlier) but let these scouts tell it :yeshrug:

Scouts will always miss on guys regardless of the position. Qb is just the hardest to judge

But Watson being a great college qb who won a title means zero when judging him as a pro prospect

You need to be able to make all the throws necessary at the pro level. That's what matters. Not your stats or accomplishments in college

Watson put up numbers against one of the best Bama defenses ever. That's all that needs to be said. I'm not saying the people who put up record breaking numbers at smaller schools should be drafted first.
