Ya'll notice I ain't posted shyt in this thread this off-season? Don't think I've been ghost because I don't think Tennessee will be great this year. I am even more confident than last off-season that they will have a great season. I got them going 11-1 in 2017 and winning the SEC Championship Game over Alabama. I got them ultimately losing in the playoffs though. I think Florida State wins the natty this year.
The reason I ain't been posting up in here this off-season is cause there ain't really any future NFL superstars that I'm fukkin wit on Tennessee's roster in 2017. They got more depth this year and thus should be better overall. But they lack the star power they had the last 2 years.

BEAVERTON, Ore. -This is Jacob Eason vs. Shea Patterson all over again. Except this time it's Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields battling for the No. 1 quarterback spot in the 247Sports Recruiting Rankings, which this cycle doubles as the top prospect in America regardless of position. Eason led for much of the process back in 2016 before Patterson overtook him at the very end. Talking to my colleague Barton Simmons on Monday afternoon as we continued to watch the two 2018 signal-callers, he believed Lawrence has a better chance of holding off Fields than Eason did. However, after what we saw from Fields (our unofficial stats charted him at 72 percent with 16 touchdowns and a stunning zero interceptions on 23 drives), making the move is something both of us are certainly thinking strongly about.
What we can't forget regardless of everything we've seen this camp season is that the 6-foot-6, 200-pound Lawrence has played in three state championships and led Cartersville (Ga.) High to the last two titles. Barring injury he will head to Clemson as the Peach State's all-time leader in passing yards and touchdowns, breaking another former Tiger's records in DeShaun Watson. Lawrence has been No. 1 since we debuted our class-of-2018 rankings years ago and what he's done in-between the lines in 11-on-11 football is as impressive as any quarterback prospect in recent memory. And just like Eason, for the longest time Lawrence's spot at No. 1 at his position felt completely safe.
Remember: All the schools recruiting Fields now targeted Lawrence first. But — Fields keeps getting better ... and better ... and better. Fields waited his turn behind South Carolina signee Lorenzo Nunez at Kennesaw (Ga.) Harrison. In his first season as the starter last fall hecompleted 69 percent of his passes for 2,253 yards and 18 touchdowns. He added another 977 yards rushing and 14 more scores. Those are strong numbers but nothing like the win totals or stats Lawrence has put up. However this spring Fields showed off his terrific athleticism including a 4.51 laser-timed 40-yard dash at The Opening Regional in Orlando. He's going to be a dynamic guy on the next level. And with each passing 7-on-7 tournament Fields looked better and better. The Opening Finals were his best work, and as good as we've ever seen at the Nike World Headquarters.
With a ton of weapons around him, the 6-foot-3, 221-pound Fields made it look easy from the very first snap, spreading the ball around to the likes of Penn State commit Justin Shorter, Kamryn Babb, Josh Vann, tight end Luke Ford and others en route to earning 247Sports' MVP honors. The poise, how he was able to quickly slow things down, seeing the field so well and taking care of the football, in addition to his physical tools, were second to none this weekend. Lawrence performed in the top third of the group but he wasn't on Fields' level in this tournament. We still have the coming fall and then the All-America Bowl season to continue comparing these two as this storyline is nowhere close to resolved.

Where does Fields end up? The former Penn State commit isstrongly considering Auburn, Florida, Florida State and Georgia, with the plan to take official visits in the fall before deciding. Fields did a recent overnight visit to Gainesville and wants to do one next with the Tigers. He's blown away by Jimbo Fisher and enjoyed his summer camp experience in Tallahassee. He's also been over to Athens a couple times since decommitting in early June, as well as at least two trips to see Auburn.
My 247Sports Crystal Ball remains on the Gators. UF hasn't heavily pursued any other quarterback this cycle and several coaches are in daily contact with him and his father. But there was a mixed bag of folks around Fields that see him going to any of the above schools.

I really liked what I saw from the Miami commits in Oregon, a class that has moved back toNo. 1 in the 247Sports Recruiting Rankings. The country's top-ranked tight end per the 247Sports Composite in Brevin Jordan was as reliable a pass catcher as there was in the tournament. It's an extremely talented year at receiver and Mark Pope is right there in the middle of it as one of the best. Cornerback Josh Jobe has the traits to be a special player in Coral Gables and Al Blades Jr. flashed as well. Running back Cam'Ron Davis was as good catching the football as any of his peers.
Defensive tackle Nesta Silvera is an absolute pocket pusher with a fourth star coming his way. Offensive lineman Delone Scaife was consistent in 1-on-1s. Running back Lorenzo Lingard, receiver Brian Hightower and tight end Will Mallory (injury knocked him out early) had their moments as well. A terrific class is coming Miami's way.

Ruckert plans to announce within the next couple weeks with Michigan looking to spoil OSU's plans. Ford is leaning towards Alabama but Georgia among others have him thinking.

William Barnes was the most consistent offensive line performer over a two-day stretch. Florida and North Carolina may be his leaders but folks need to be talking about Florida State more here. The Seminoles are very much in it.
The defensive line didn't have a standout, but Clemson five-star commit Xavier Thomas certainly flashed rare ability in this camp with his unique first two steps and ridiculous power. Perhaps he's No. 1 over the two quarterbacks? Notre Dame defensive tackle commit Jayson Ademilola was the standout on the inside. Isaac Taylor-Stuart ran a 4.32 40-yard dash in the semifinals en route to taking home fastest man at the event. He also made a lot of plays during 7-on-7. I continue to like USC's chances for the nation's No 3 cornerback. Nebraska commit Brendan Radley-Hiles was the most exciting defensive player at the event, forcing several turnovers and getting his hands on several other passes.

Centennial standout will take a two-year LDS Mission before enrolling at the school of his choice. 247Sports' No. 3-ranked quarterback lived up to his lofty ranking during 7-on-7 play, at times making it look as easy as Fields did. BYU will get the last official from the 6-foot-6, 220-pound McKee the first weekend of February, but Alabama, Texas, Washington and UCLA are four others that will get visits during the fall.
