This is gonna sound kinda fukked up, but I'm not sure how much more successful Fitz would be, than Dantonio at MSU. D's a damn good coach, but he's fukked with UM locking down the state. Michigan gets who they want from Michigan period. State gets leftovers. And they don't recruit nationally.. so I just don't know where his success would come from. Imagine Fitz at Notre Dame after they can Kelly.

I think he and his family have ties. His names come up for lateral jobs.. and he's turned them all down. Would he turn down a Notre Dame or an A&M if Sumlin gets the boot? Fitz can coach his ass off. And parents love him. So he'll recruit well anywhere.

they were one of the most fraudulent #1's in like the last 20 years (hyperbole) and was exposed when as the season went on.

But still, props to Mullen for getting them there though. not a lot of teams have been ranked #1 the last few years

South Carolina is the exact same level program but has had more success as of late. Ole miss as well. Miss state being significantly less scuessful with more embarassing losses and pne good recruiting class = Mullen aint shyt.

Stanford is in a way worse historic and recruiting situation than miss state, and shaw has been way more successful than mullen.

dantonio is a VERY good coach, I agree. Fitz is almost as good on the xs and os but never has the talent. That's why him at MSU is a threat
