This kick by Miami against FSU is still the most ridiculous and unclutch thing I've ever seen

"Bagley has made 72 consecutive PATs..." not only does the holder dikk fingers the ball, but the entire right side of the line collapses :hhh: its eternally fukk FSU ofc, but them nikkas really do own the spirit of Miami until proven otherwise. The MODERN orange bowl went from feeling like the NOLA after the super bowl win to looking like the NOLA after Katrina :francis:

The State of Tennessee some hoes for this :smh:
Nike gifts from The Opening could make Tennessee athletes ineligible

Nike gifts from The Opening could make Tennessee athletes ineligible
When Coffee County’s Alontae Taylor and Jackson North Side’s Greg Emerson arrive at Nike’s The Opening, a high school football combine held at the company’s headquarters in Oregon, they will be presented with various gifts.

In past years, event organizers have given participants shirts, hoodies, shorts, helmets, cleats, gloves and other items.
But if Taylor and Emerson want to keep their high school football eligibility, they will be careful about what they bring back to Tennessee. You see, the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association’s antiquated rules prohibit athletes from bringing just anything home. And TSSAA Executive Director Bernard Childress acknowledges that the rule might be too broad.

Clothing such as sweat suits, shorts and compression shirts are fine to accept under current TSSAA rules. Helmets, cleats or gloves — items that can be deemed part of a uniform — are not.

Childress said the rule is among various items staff are looking at this summer after the recommendation of TSSAA staff attorney Rick Colbert.

“(Rick) wants us to look at it,” Childress said. “Are we taking that award rule and applying it too broadly? He wants us to take a serious look at it.

“His question was, ‘Why do you care if Nike is giving them this? They are not a member of the TSSAA.”

Taylor, a Tennessee commitment, is a four-star college prospect from Manchester. Emerson, a defensive end, is a four-star prospect and considered one of the top two prospects in the state. Emerson hasn’t yet committed.

The two are the lone players from Tennessee chosen to participate this year. They were picked based on how they competed at regional camps held earlier this year. The event begins Wednesday and runs through July 3.

“To compete against the best is a dream come true,” Taylor said. “To be able to put Manchester on the map is great. We do have a lot of potential here.”
Taylor doesn’t understand why he can’t bring all of the items home with him.

“It’s not going to hurt the state,” Taylor said. “Hopefully, the kids in the future will get to keep everything. We earned this.”

The TSSAA’s award rule allows an athlete to accept a trophy, medal, state championship ring, sweater, jacket, shirt, blazer or blanket. The school’s principal must also sign off. Athletes who accept forbidden items can be ruled ineligible for a year.

Childress said as he reads the rule, athletes are allowed to accept clothing but not football equipment. Childress said Nike has worked with the athletes in the past, allowing them to purchase items at a discounted price.

Tennessee isn’t the only state with rules that prohibit some of the purchase of items at events like The Opening. In Alabama, for instance, athletes are limited to just $50 in free merchandise.

But why do state associations care what merchandise is being offered?

These athletes qualified by going independently to various camps across the country. They and their parents paid money out of their own pocket to attend regional camps that eventually led to being picked for this event.

“I don’t see a reason why the kids from our state cannot accept everything that Nike gives them,” Coffee County coach Ryan Sulkowski said. “It’s a third-party deal.

“We haven’t changed, but high school football has changed. I respect Bernard and the job he does. I respect the governing body. But we need to be more proactive.”

I think they win. We're dark horses, I would love to win the conference but lowkey I don't because it will raise the bar too high for coach o early on. He hasn't molded the program to how he wants it so setting expectation that high early on can do more damage than good for him.

He wins this year, this fan base is goin to expect him to win it all every year. A two loss season all of the sudden he has to look over his shoulder.

Look at Gus Malzahn, his seat is always warm because Auburn fans think they should be competeting for for titles every year based off that title game run his first year.
