At the end of the day it's still Mississippi. I mean look at ole miss. They'll cut their whole program before letting a black man be HC :mjpls:
Yea it's Mississippi but just like at Bama yu have ur white schools and blacks schools and I can't imagine the fan base at schools like Bama, AU, UGA, LSU being cool with a black HC.
It'll eventually happen, Croom was the first to break down the barrier and since then you've had Sumlin, Franklin, Mason, and Joker be head coaches in the SEC. Now with black head coaches like Taggert, Shaw, Strong and Babers getting national recognition, it's only a matter of time :manny:
Yea but schools like A&M and Vandy are a lot more transcendent than these schools in the old Deep South. I know Vandy is in Tennesee but they're one of those high academic that are always open to something new. Not saying it's not goin to happen but these cacs down here are not really open to change

Come on breh. Vandy is in the city of Nashville. The only black people in the city are the basketball/football team and P.K. Subban on the predators :russ:

Vandy is a high academic school that is not stuck in old ways. They're a lot like Tulane down here. Tulane would hire a black coach way b4 LSU would

Agreed. As of today I'm goin

1. Bama
2. USC
3. Penn St
4. Louisville

With Penn st and Louisville meeting in the championship and Penn st winning it all

Both USC and Louisville aren't great on the O-Line. Regardless, USC have enough talent in skill players and on D to still be in contention, but i highly doubt Louisville even makes it to the ACC Championship. LSU will finish out higher than UL

ACC is a QB league and they have arguably the best one in the country. I think Louisville squeezes into the playoffs with wins against Florida St and Clemson.
Penn state not making it

They overachieved this year, they ready to make a run this year with a lot of their talent coming back

After doing some kinks to projections I'm ready to drop my no going back on 2017 predictions for each Power 5 conference

ACC Atlantic
Florida St
Louisville
Clemson
NC State
Syracuse
Wake Forest
Boston College

2-4 I expect to be some kind of tiebreak scenario I really like NC State this season and was tempted to pick them #1 in division due to favorable schedule getting Louisville and Clemson at home and road games against crummy BC and Wake.

ACC Coastal
Miami
Virginia Tech
UNC
Pittsburgh
Georgia Tech
Duke
Virginia

Division is very even I see 5 teams with legit shot at winning it I'm picking Miami due to the fact they have the easiest path I see Miami as a potential 10-2,11-1 type of team no post FSU hangover this season with Toledo,Duke and GT following that matchup.

Miami may be due to beat FSU in rematch in ACC title game FSU is lucky to get Miami week 3 in the season with young QB. I'll pick FSU,Miami,Louisville.Clemson and NC State as the top 5 of the conference but I love this conference even with the loss of many QBs to the NFL I see 9 legit squads in this league making the ACC top to bottom the #1 Power 5 in 2017.

SEC West
1.Alabama
2.Auburn
3.LSU
4.Texas A&M
5.Mississippi St
6.Arkansas
7.Ole Piss

Auburn got railroaded by the SEC having to play at LSU,Arkansas and A&M 3 weeks in a row I really wanted to pull trigger on them winning the division but 2nd half of schedule too backloaded. LSU having to play 5 road games is another bad look Alabama got enough of a talent advantage to win without these faults.

SEC East
1.Florida
2.Georgia
3.Tennessee
4.Missouri
5.Kentucky
6. South Carolina
7. Vandy

4-7 of this division is a mess who cares really. Florida schedule is as pathetic as ever in league play seriously 3 road games are Missouri,Kentucky and Carolina. :trash:

Florida can afford a loss to LSU at home and still win the division I don't have much faith in UGA doing much of anything when everything on the line they got the hype and returning talent but I will pick Florida with an upgrade at QB position to be slaughtered for a 3rd straight November/December by FSU and Bama to end the season.

Top 5 SEC schools for 2017: Alabama,Auburn,LSU,Florida,Georgia

Big Ten East
Ohio St
Michigan
Penn St
Maryland
Michigan St
Indiana
Rutgers

Division comes down to last week of season I don't see PSU beating OSU or Michigan this season in fact if you looking for an early upset lock take Michigan ML over PSU. Both teams can do better at the QB position and honestly if Michigan was willing to make a change at QB i'd consider taking Michigan over OSU head to head. OSU experience is enough to give Michigan edge but I expect Michigan to be no worse than 9-1 when they play Wisconsin and OSU

Big Ten West
Wisconsin
Minnesota
Northwestern
Nebraska
Iowa
Purdue
Illinois

Worst division in the Power 5 in 2017. Quite simply if Wisconsin can continue its dominance over Nebraska look for Wisconsin to be undefeated going into the Michigan game on 11/18 in Madison. Very dangerous playoff contender

OSU vs Wisconsin for BIG title ill give OSU the nod

Top 5 Big Ten schools in 2017: OSU,Michigan,Wisconsin,Penn State,Minnesota

Pac 12 North
Washington
Oregon
Stanford
Washington St
California
Oregon State

Very nice 1-4 in this division really really love Washington and Oregon in 2017. Oregon only plays 2 top 35 teams in my projections and if I had to pick a road game out of Washington and Stanford I would lean towards Oregon winning in Stanford. I think Washington is a legit top 3 team going into the season I love this team.

Pac 12 South
USC
Utah
UCLA
Colorado
Arizona St
Arizona

This division sucks only threat to USC I see this season is Utah but they have to travel to LA. Arizona schools may need to trim a little fat by the time the regular season ends those teams are really trending downward. UCLA is all glitz and glamour no better than 7-5 for them. USC looks the part but I see some early season losses coming their way they will need to run the table post September to have a shot at the playoff.

Washington will win the Pac 12 this season and avenge home loss to USC in Pac 12 title game.

Top 5 Pac 12 schools in 2017: Washington,USC,Oregon,Stanford,Washington St

Big 12
Texas
Oklahoma
Oklahoma St
Kansas St
TCU
West Virginia
Baylor
Iowa State
Texas Tech
Kansas

This may be the most wide open of the power 5 conferences this season don't see a real legit NC contender in the mix but I can make a case for 6 teams having a legit shot at winning the conference. Texas gets the nod even though I don't like that late season trip to WVU. If Texas can somehow get a win vs USC I can see them making the CFP even with 1 conference loss. Oklahoma goes 10-2 but loses to Ohio St and Texas. TCU burned me last season but they return a good chunk of talent the QB position my biggest concern hopefully someone better than Kenny Trill emerges

National Top 20
1.Alabama
2.Washington
3.Ohio State
4.Florida State
5.Auburn
6.Michigan
7.Texas
8.Wisconsin
9.USC
10.Oklahoma
11.Miami
12.LSU
13.Clemson
14.Louisville
15.USF
16.Penn St
17.Oregon
18. Oklahoma St
19. Florida
20. Stanford
