SEC's Top 25 returning players for 2017

1. Arden Key, LSU: After averaging an SEC-high 1.09 sacks per game as a sophomore (he had 12 in 11 games), Key is easily the conference's top returning pass-rusher. -- David Ching

2. Derrius Guice, LSU: Among the nation's top 31 rushers, nobody carried the ball fewer times than Guice (183 carries for an SEC-high 1,387 yards). Imagine what he'll do as a full-time starter. -- D.C.

I was watching CFL and the geniuses on there had a list of the top 10 returning players and neither were on there

We already have 2 stud safeties in this class and going after another:lupe: I hope this means we are moving Minkah back to corner to replace Marlon and sliding someone else in at safety

Just looked, we might end up with 5/6 of the best players from Louisiana(if u count Moses):picard:@O.iatlhawksfan @ReturnOfJudah How did Coach O let that happen?

That's not coach Os fault he was still an interim coach while these kids were being heavily recruited. By the time the interim tag was off players like Moses and Allen had already made their minds up.

He's done a great job getting talent elsewhere, I prefer Gay and Phillips over Moses and Allen anyways.

Because we got the got #1(5 star) & #9 ranked safeties already in enrolled at LSU this month. Todd is still going to LSU though. We bout to flip two 5 star lbs and Chris Allen (Bama commit) too

We will still get Allen. It's crazy how we lost Moses and still going to end up with a better lb class :deadmanny:

Why yu think we get Allen? I doubt it, I think he and Harris go to Bama

Gay is Better than Moses tho. Moses is still riding off his 9th grade hype

Every recruiting site said he will flip. They think he is more of a sure thing than Gay & Phillips

Ten recruits who could flip before signing day

His teammate who just committed to LSU plays LB Also. He said he thinks he flips
LSU Tigers recruiting: Damone Clark offers prediction on Christopher Allen

LSU dominates Scout's flip watch in the South

Chris Allen

6'4" / 233 lbs
74
Analysis
Allen has played linebacker and defensive end in high school and he may mix them up in college too. Could be a hybrid due to his combination of size, speed, and athleticism. Really plays hard and with a lot of fire. Can crash down and make the hit against the run. When he tackles, he tackles through the opponent. A true jumbo-athlete that could be a big tight end as well. Still raw, but has a lot to like.

CLOSE

Chris Allen

Scout Ranking: No. 74

Committed to: Alabama

Who to Watch: LSU

The Buzz: Can 'Bama reel this one back in this weekend? Allen was at LSU last weekend, the Tigers seem to have made things a little more cloudy for him the last 10 days or so, but he is still on the Crimson Tide's commitment list, he is in Tuscaloosa (Ala.) this weekend, and he will be hard to take away from Nick Saban. This one is pretty tight though, and he is from Baton Rouge (La.), so this one is not overwith yet.
