Every time I see this come back around, I don't see any negatives associated with it. Just using last season as an example, Auburn was the second best team in the SEC up until the last two games. Florida ended up actually being the second best until the conf champ, then they got ass blasted, so we ended up in the Sugar Bowl. But somewhere along the way, that shyt could've just got solved on the field. I think Auburn's former rivalries with Florida and to a degree Tennessee were generally considered more interesting than the contrived ones that were gained as a result of divisions (namely the LSU one)
At worst, move Auburn and Alabama to the East and trade Georgia and Missouri. I think that'd be about as equal as you'll get the two divisions
