Jashaun Corbin is now on board with
Florida State, giving the Seminoles a pair of ESPN 300 running backs in their 2018 class. Read below to see why Corbin could be used in a variety of roles in Tallahassee:
What he brings: A versatile, athletic skill set that offensive coordinators can get creative with. A hybrid player who can line up in the backfield or the slot and create mismatches with his quickness and polished pass receiving skills. Can hurt you in space with explosiveness burst and also break tackles with power and balance in traffic.
How he fits: We see an all-purpose role in Tallahassee. Blend of size, speed and athleticism will provide FSU with flexibility on how they utilize Corbin throughout the backfield and slot. Third-down, change-of-pace skill set more than an every-down workhorse.
Who he reminds us of: (
Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints) Similar frames out of high school and versatile running and pass catching skill sets.
How this class is shaping up: This top-10 class is loaded with speed and playmakers. FSU has a talented corner group headlined by ESPN 300 standouts
A.J. Lytton and
Asante Samuel Jr., the son of former NFL Pro Bowl corner Asante Samuel, and speedy running back
James Cook, the younger brother of
Dalvin Cook, now is joined by Corbin. Mammoth Under Armour All-America Game defensive tackle
Robert Cooper steals the majority of the headlines and is joined on the defensive front by four-star end
Stacy Kirby.
