Plus history has shown that Alabama doesn't need LJ or Darnold level QB play to win, just good enough QB play.

Hurts is a winner, that's all that matters. For a True Freshman to go down to Baton Rouge on a Saturday Night and win is mind boggling when you think about it.

Tua might look good but we don't know how that would translate to on-field play, how do we know that Tua would have the same poise as Hurts did last season?

Agree Hurts will be the starter. But I could easily see Tua taking the job early in the season if Jalen hasn't improved his passing much. FSU defense is loaded so I don't see him lighting them up and Tua will get his chances to shine in weeks 2,3, 4 in garbage time. Jalen will have to play really well to keep the job, he can't play like he did at the end of last year. His mechanics and footwork scare me and it looks like he still has a lot of work to do. Just watch the video, Tua's footwork and balance are insane already. Jalen is slow and awkward in his drop back and is always falling off to the right when he throws

Just watch all of Tua's interviews and read what everyone says about him. His intangibles are off the charts also. Don't think there will be any problems there.

He just made the playoffs with 3 starters on D on 3 on O returning last year. 14 players to the nfl, to include 7 all rookies, droy, a mvp candidate, and a receiver who had the best rookie year since Moss
