What a horrible hire, who cares what kids want when 100 percent won't be on the team 3 years from

Like most coaching hires outside a few superstars, highly dependant on the staff he puts together.

Remember, people were pretty low on Taggart and he was apparently Oregon's 3rd or 4th choice. But he put together a fantastic coaching staff and he did well. Cristobal's success will be very dependant on who he gets as OC and DC.

Stealing Alex Grinch as DC from WSU wouldn't be a bad idea.

Also, now we can say our coach can beat your coaches ass vs. anyone who wants to pop shyt.

Edit: and we should remember word was it was Cristobal who put a big portion of the recruiting formula in place at Oregon. He took Alabama's process and they applied it.

What I learned from Taggart vs. all our past coaches:

Having a talented head coach is great, but that doesn't guarantee a great team. You have to recruit. This is new to Oregon because we have never recruited like teams from the south. Put a talented staff around a solid coach and recruit well and that is the formula.

Lol u don't know anything about Cristobal. It's a great hire he's one of the top recruiters and player coaches in the country. And it doesn't just help with the current players it helps with recruiting too obviously, they have a top 10 class they need to keep intact. He just needs to bring in the right OC and DC and u can say that about every coach. The offensive specialist guys for head coaches doesn't usually work it's best to have someone like Saban who delegates.

Actually I do know about Cristobal. It's great he's a top recruiter and player coach he should remain an assistant.

He's not head coaching quality


This is a horrible hire by the Oregon ad but because he fired helfrich and taggsrt left after a year he hires someone who should be an assistant who won't go anywhere
