Cristobal has been a HC though. He basically built FIU into a respectable G5 before inexplicably being fired by the AD.
He's not necessarily the best name hire, but he has built quite a nice resume since his firing. Great recruiter, OLine coach, and I believe he'd be a good P5 HC.
I hope you don't hire him though. Michigan needs to grab him and Michael Johnson Sr. from your staff

South Carolina announced the firing of offensive coordinator Kurt Roper on Wednesday.
Co-offensive coordinator Bryan McClendon will call offensive plays for the Gamecocks in the Outback Bowl on Jan. 1 against Michigan. Coach Will Muschamp will not name Roper's replacement until after the bowl game.
Roper spent the past two seasons at South Carolina and also coached with Muschamp at Florida in 2014.
Roper was among the top candidates for the head-coaching vacancy at Rice, his alma mater, but the school is planning to hire Stanford offensive coordinator Mike Bloomgren. An official announcement is expected later Wednesday.

He had to go. Our offense numbers wise was the same as last year, in 2016 we were last in scoring offense in the SEC and 13th in total yards. Things should have got much better this year but right now we sit at 12th in both those categories. Honestly, I put some of the blame on the QB. I don't think as the OC he and the QB were on the same page. I think Roper wants to call more RPO plays but the QB we have isn't going to give you the QB running option. It's been rumored that he would be fired for some time now. I'm glad so it gives us a chance now to see if the CO OC Byran McClendon can take over play calling as OC next season. MeClendon was the Interim HC at UGA when Richt got let go. Also, Muschamp was told he couldn't have bullshyt offenses when he got the job here.
I was telling @Lucky_Lefty today that it's rumored that Wille Taggert is probably going to try to bring him in if Cristobol is hired the HC at Oregon. I really hope we can keep him on staff. He is a hell of a recruiter and really knows how to find talent. I hope he does a good job at the Outback Bowl.
