Just going off what the Oregon media told locally, was that Cristobal was FIU's head coach and turned the program around and recruited well. Got fired when he shouldn't have. And despite interviewing, hasn't gotten a head coaching job.

I think why he is considered for Oregon, would be that they think he is ready or they are willing to take that chance to try him, to keep some of the recruiting class and keep an A level recruiter going forward. If Taggart leaves, I find it very unlikely Cristobal stays unless promoted. It seems his ties otherwise are all down south.

I think a minority hire would be a great fit. Players have long said one aspect of Eugene there isn't much racial diversity and it makes them feel uncomfortable. Since Taggart was hired players have said they have enjoyed having a lot of black coaches on staff who can identify with them.

another reason I fukkin hate Auburn's luck with picking rivals. The actual best program of the decade aside from pachyderms and probably the brightest projected future until Miami is concretely back or USC realises they can come back to relevancy any time now. They're just dominating football from every aspect. And these the nikkas we play almost every year :mjcry: they just use us as another top 15 win
