I’m real nervous we’re gonna come out and get ahead by a few touchdowns early. We’ll stop that bullshyt run up the middle that they’ve done against shyt teams all year. We’ll have the crowd and momentum so it’ll be easy to stop them a few times and get up.
But I think that shyt will backfire like always. Hopefully it’s real close at half and we’re forced to actually run our full offense in the 2nd half. If we get up early then go into cruise control mode we’re fukked.
Here's the way I see it. Gus puts his whole load (pause) into trying to buck the trend of slow starts. Throws in 3 or 4 of his best plays in a scripted drive. Like you said, we get something like a 24-3 lead early. Crowd is rocking all that, etc. The problem is, when Gus does those type games, e.g TAMU 2016, Alabama 2014, etc and etc, he has lost complete feel of the game towards the end of it, and Georgia at least has the talent to come back for damn near any deficit, maybe not the pace, but the talent. The solution is here that once Gus feels he lost the feel, Chip and the O analysts take over and continue what's working. UNLIKELY, but possible
Second, Georgia runs their usual offense, and we do pretty well off rip. They get a few field goals, maybe a TD, but our offense slowly tries to catch a rhythm, like the two games previous to this one. In those two games, once Auburn caught a few big plays, they rode off that momentum for the rest of the second half. So it could be a 17-3, 17-6 type halftime deficit for us, but we adjust and comeback. Far more likely, but at the same time, it isnt because of our control. We're just forced into that box and we happen to fight out of it.
