that and, at least in my experience, it's a female sport in the US. yea, there are male teams, but i don't think i ever came across a high school with a male team in my are, and we all know female team sports just don't get love like that in the US. plus men are nowhere near conditioned to thinking about male volleyball. volleyball has too many hurdles to climb in the US before being "the next big sport"

It also has another hurdle, Title IX. Men's college volleyball, gymnastics, and wrestling programs have been cut because there isnt enough money to carry those athletes as well as pay for the additional female athletes that would be required to stay in compliance.

Reminds me of basketball how some of these non black countries be having foreign black players on them so that they can be competitive in basketball.

I remember like in either 2008 or 2010 Russia had like one or two black American players on the team.

Edit - I think it was only one American brotha on the team.
